KEITH & LINDA STRANBERG (Zambia): We came to the Lord Jesus while dating and were married (9/16/95). We began participating in the Evangelical Free Church of Mt. Morris, Illinois, and have been growing there for the past ten years. God began to give us hearts for the lost, poor and orphaned. Keith traveled on two short-term teams to Honduras.
Doug Nichols spoke at our church and we were very impressed with him and the way ACTION does missions. At that time we were adopting two children from the former Soviet country of Belarus. It was through the adoption experience that we learned to trust God more fully and came to have a desire to work on behalf of orphans. Keith found less satisfaction in his trucking company and developed a greater desire to serve God in full-time ministry. By prayer, Bible reading, and a series of providential events, God called us to serve with Action International Ministries in Lusaka, Zambia.
We are currently raising our support in hopes of joining the ACTION Zambia team by June 2005. Keith plans to be “the oil” that keeps the ministry functioning smoothly. His role will be to maintain the mission facility and vehicles, serve as the computer technician, facilitate short-term teams, and possibly train Zambians in vocational skills. Linda will continue to home school our children, Heather (2/13/97), Kelly (3/26/99), Olivia (6/12/01) and Alek (10/27/01). Linda will be the Pastor’s Library Coordinator and would like to teach Bible/English to ladies or children when possible, as well as visit AIDS patients and orphans. Our children hope to befriend many Zambian children and show them the love of Jesus. You can reach us at stranclan2zam@yahoo.com
