Aye, Aye, Cap'ain

With the start of a new school year we are briefly learning about ships, sailors and the sea. I showed the kids just bits and pieces of our Horatio Hornblower movies (A & E) so they could get an idea of the British navy in the 1780's. Alek ran right to his dress-up drawer and on his own came up with this naval uniform complete with cravat! Heather and the girls joined him in pretending to be his shipmates. Yes, home schoolers are really weird! But these are the things they will really enjoy and remember.
