We were pleasantly surprised by the progress made on the school buildings at Living Hope, a church-based community school. Before this construction the school was cut trees and plastic burlap-type material with all the kids in one room. The students here would not ordinarily get an education because most are either too poor or are orphaned. ACTION Zambia has been partnering with them for a few years financially, with training teachers and with a feeding program. The two individuals standing at the school are a husband/wife team. He pastors the church, administrates the school with a board of elders and teaches! One seldom sees such dedication and love for children as these two daily show. Now there are five classrooms and over 300 students spread between morning and afternoon sessions. This is a very exciting investment in Zambia's future.
