Heather and Ranger

Everyone is asking for pictures of our new puppy so here they are. Heather poses with the breeder, Mrs. Kurpas. He traveled home well and has been a very good boy. We caught a good picture of Heather and "Ranger" after her piano recital. This puppy is an Australian Cattle Dog (aka Blue Heeler). We've always liked these dogs but our Sally dog in Zambia, also an ACD, sold us on the breed with her intellengence and attitude. Heather wants to train and show him in 4-H and AKC shows. She has totally accepted responsibility for him including taking him out in the middle of the night! His registered name is: Kurpas' My True Blue Ranger. Our plan is for Kelly to also get a pup. She is waiting until late June for a different litter so she can get a 'red' cattle dog.
