More Christmas Eve

After the food and the children's play we sang a few songs and it began storming. It let loose quite a drenching. The power went out for the rest of the night. Blake is standing in the dark holding one of the candles we used. The candles did set a nice atmosphere. The kids had exchanged names and were to make each other a gift. We had some very creative, fun gifts. The adults exchanged and just bought an inexpensive, little gift. The kids sang Happy Birthday to Jesus and then we had cake and cookies. We all missed family, of course, but we did have a great time together. Then we went slip, sliding and bumping along home.
