Family Vacation part 1

The Stran Clan finally got away for a few days of family together time and rest. We drove a beautiful drive 5 hours south of Lusaka to Lake Kariba. As we neared our cabin on the lake we encountered many herds of goats and cattle in the road and a watery ford crossing through a river. Our cabin was located on one of the world's largest commercial crocodile farms. They harvest them for meat and hides. They have a great location out in the middle of nowhere yet on the lakefront so they began a little resort area on the property. One day we were entertained by around 40 monkeys climbing around in our trees. The babies hang under the mothers and were so fun to see. Near our cabin stood a huge Baobob tree, well-known in Zambia.
