Conversation along the road

Today, I talked with a lady that I sometimes see when I walk my little friend, Dorcas, to and from school. She told me about some of her troubles and especially about a time she had with depression. She said her husband was everything to her and when he died she faced a deep depression. She said she could either die too after a time or pray. She asked God to give her strength to come out of the depression and He answered her prayers. She said she is working and doing well after these 16 years of being a widow. She even smiled and said maybe someday she would be in love again. She is grateful to God that He has been her hope and provider these many years. What a gift to hear of this lady's faith and that she sees how personally God cares for each one of us.
