It's rainy season in Zambia but with unusually heavy rainfall the roads are um...muddy! Some people told us that Zambia hasn't had a season like this in 20 years. We do need to pray for the rain to stop because much suffering will follow. Since we are interested in farming and come from a farming area of Illinois, we took the time to go visit some farming friends of ours. These are white farmers who had to leave their homes in Zimbabwe over the past several years because of the declining political situation. We first had to brave the roads out in the bush to get to the farms! Some roads are impassible but Keith's driving expertise payed off and we made it through. Others did not - truck is stranded. You never know what is under the surface of the water - big boulders or deep ruts. It was an adventure!
