The A Team

Also in October ACTION Zambia hosted "The A Team" a short term team from Appleton, WI. They were to do a camp for street kids but due to the fuel shortage the camp was canceled and their activities curtailed. They did get to see a good deal of the work AZ is doing and to get a feel for life in Zambia. This was a great group of people who I think each left with something God is working on in them.
We had several departures aside from Bloemkers, Fultons and the A team. A young Canadian who had been with AZ for three months flew back home. Derek, one of AZ's missionaries to street kids, completed his term and went back to the States to be with his intended, Kristin, another AZ missionary! Uncle Derek stayed with us at CT so we miss his presence. Andrew, another young Canadian, flew north to join the ACTION Uganda team in Kampala. Some on our team were at the airport three days a week with all the coming and going.
Just days after all this activity we had personal visitors from one of our supporting churches. They were able to see and do quite a bit in the 5 days they were here. They have a son, daughter- in- law and two grandsons serving in Angola. Since they were "right next door" they decided to pop over for a visit. Our children took to them as grandparents and they were such an encouragement to us.
