Christmas Day

Christmas morning the kids opened a few presents. Olivia has wanted a guitar so badly. She will watch each Friday during our praise time and pretend to play. Now she has her own little guitar! Alek loved his Bob the Builder pj's!
Like the Zambians we went to church and took part in a nice service complete with kids reciting bible verses from the Christmas story, praise choirs and Christmas carols. Kelly was quite impressed with the decorations. They had hung balloons and strung blue and pink TP-like paper from the rafters. Our girls love Blessing, our pastor's little son. Afterwards, the church had a big fellowship dinner. The ladies made traditional Zambian food; nshima, rice, chicken, and fritters. Yum! This is eaten with the hands, no silverware. You wash before and afterwards with a pitcher and basin. Actually, no tables, we just ate in the pews or around the property.
