After a couple days at the ACTION office we took off for Whidbey Island. The Stevenson family spent three months in Zambia in 2005. They have 8 kids so Heather and Kelly loved playing and catching up with their kids. We toured a WWII fort, saw a neat lighthouse and the kids went near the ocean. Our kids haven't been to a real ocean - they have been to the Firth of Forth, a tributary off of the North Sea in Scotland and now were near the Pacific Ocean but only on the inlet. So they have seen tributaries of two oceans but never the real thing! Some day!
We were invited to speak at our friend's church where he is the pastor and to a small team coming to Zambia in January. It is always neat to meet new people and to tell of God's work in Zambia. To get off the island we had to take a ferry which was new to our girls. The weather was rainy and very windy so the ride was a bit rocky. We were soon on our way to Vancouver, WA.
