Airventure 2008-Flying Mission

Hi all, Keith here, sorry but we have been pretty busy and haven't blogged much! As most of you know, and if you didn't, you will now, I have a very strong love of aviation. Before we left for Zambia I was involved in flying Powered Parachutes. While in Zambia I quickly made some great friends that had airplanes and even met a German man that had a trike. The friends that had airplanes were with Flying Mission. Most of you have probably heard of MAF (Mission Aviation Fellowship) Flying Mission does very similar work in Zambia and Botswana. Bryan Wilson invited me to meet him and Roger Greene to help man the Flying Mission booth.
What a wonderful opportunity yipee! So I made the pilgrimage to Oshkosh, WI like so many other aviation enthusiasts for a couple days at the end of July. What a wonderful time to connect with old friends and be a small part of Airventure. I wanted to highlight a group there that is called MASA Mission Aviation Support Association. They are a group made up of volunteers from 30 churches around the Oshkosh area. They make arrangements to host all the Mission Aviation personnel that are in town as well as feed them 3 wonderful meals a day!! Thank you so much to this group, it was great to be hosted by them.

Mark your calenders for next year, EAA announced that Mission Aviation is going to be one of the areas that they will highlight next year. Yes Bryan, I plan on attending again, but I am going to bring the family with. I will post more pictures.
