Mari finishes her term with AZ

Mari has been with AZ for the past year working in the church-based community schools. She had a big celebration day for the teachers with whom she worked. One teacher stood and said, "My heart is full but the words cannot come." This sums up so much of what Mari has meant to these teachers. She has come alongside them to help in teaching primarily phonics and Christian education. She assisted in choosing and aquiring curriculum as well as leading intensive workshop weeks to improve all the skills needed to be a classroom teacher. The first two photos are from that day.
It is hard to say goodbye so often but we know God has His great plans for her as she returns to the Vancouver, Washington area to teach 5th grade. The next two pictures show an evening out the night before she left. Mari, you'll be missed by many in Zambia!!
