God is praised

This morning we visited another church with missionaries, The Burns Family, who are also on the AZ team. This church was very vibrant in praising God. The songs were all sung in Nyanja by turns of a youth choir, a men's choir and a ladies choir. It gave us a feel of heaven where God will be praised in all tongues. The pastor spoke in English a few "paragraphs" and then in Nyanja and alternated throughout the sermon. I think it is quite a talent to preach this way. The content gave us a good glimspe into Zambian culture as he encouraged all to follow a biblical view. Since we were first-time visitors we were asked to join the pastor and leadership outside in a reception line to meet everyone. People kept pouring out of the church and we were surprised how many people were present. We joked that they came out the front door and went around the back only to come out again! We found it a fun, pleasant, and instructive time.

On a side note, yesterday as we approached a main intersection we saw mounted police and a parade coming down the street. The marching band was playing music of 'This Is The Day That The Lord Has Made'. Really nice.
