Baptism

Sunday, a nearby church came to Camp Timothy to use the facility for their service and baptisms in the pool. We guess around 150 people walked over and congregated in the area used for pastor education classes. We joined them and a few other Americans who were visiting from the States. They had a praise and singing time then gathered at the pool to baptize 17 new believers which was really a special time. We think those dressed in purple were the deacons and deaconesses. The Zambians dress as nice as they can and sometimes it is hard to believe when you see where they live. We all went back to the outdoor classroom area for a service including the Lord's Supper. A visiting American pastor preached with the local pastor translating. Great music in local languages but I did recognize the music of "Count Your Many Blessings". Neat to know they were singing that song and can find blessings with the hardships. There were many children playing on the large front lawn of Camp Timothy, Heather and Kelly among them. They are so eager to make friends. Heather even tried out her Nyanja. Kelly played with another missionary's daughter and had a great time. It was a privilege to be part of Ngombe Baptist Church's special occasion.

Stranberg's,

Praise God for the opportunity to baptize new followers of Christ. I don't think there is a more tangible, Christ identifying event in the life of a disciple. Good to see the pool at CT is cleaned up! I (Josh and Jill too) miss being with you guys very much. Though my time there this year was very brief it was a blessing to be with you!

Please give the kids a hug from me!

In my prayers,

Sam

Welcome new Autoblogger, Lu Zhou
For as long as Lu Zhou can remember, he has been a car guy. Yep, he was that kid that enjoyed a sweet aroma of gasoline.
Thought I would drop a line. Nice site man. I have conference call site. It's about conference call related subjects. Check it out.
