Bumps and Bruises

Oh, our dear poor Alek has done it again. For those of you who don't know our boy, he is full of energy, easily over-stimulated and because of that hurts himself fairly regularly. Last week he fell on the edge of a large block and gave himself a bad black eye. He was just starting to look better when tonight he ran down the hall toward our room and ran into the metal doorframe. He hit hard and fell back to reveal that he split his forehead open. Fortunately, one of our AZ teammates who is a nursing student was here and was able to put a butterfly bandage on it. Notice in the picture that Kristin's great assistant, Derek is wearing his *M*A*S*H* T-shirt! I think that really made it official. We had the first aid kit out and layed Alek on the kitchen table. It is a small cut but kind of deep, so once we knew he was okay we had a bit of fun with it. What else can ya do?

Hi Stran Clan-
Poor Alek! He sounds so much like our boys, especially Chase at that age. There is a family we know who's 3 year old knocked out his front tooth at the pool and broke his arm bike riding both last week. Anyway- just to let you know that I check in on you regularly, and that you and the mission work are always in my prayers. Thanks for the blog- it is an awesome way to allow us to see what you're doing.
Take care and God bless-
