Four B's

Braai - Saturday we went to a monthly braai (cookout) gathering of missionaries all working in Lusaka with different missionary agencies. We met many families from the USA, New Zealand and various other places. The kids played together and enjoyed meeting other missionary kids like themselves.
Bible Study - Sunday eve we attended an international Bible study hosted at the Southern Baptist Mission for any missionaries in the area. Again it was neat to meet people doing similar work and let our children meet each other and play. They had a swing set which our kids loved since they have missed ours.
Beverly - On Tuesday all of ACTION Zambia turned out at the airport to welcome Grandma Bev and a new missionary, Mari, to Zambia. Grandma Bev is returning to work with orphans and vulnerable children after a time in Canada and the US. While waiting at the airport we
discovered Rabecca, a girl that our church sponsors and our girls have prayed for over the past couple of years. Her orphanage director brought a few girls to welcome Bev back. Heather and Kelly have been wanting to meet Rabecca but we haven't taken them to her home yet. What a great surprise for them to meet her at the airport.Bugs - you may be seeing more bug photos (or snaps as photos are called here) of bugs. It is getting hotter here and we are seeing more bugs. This 'grasshopper' is the size of a hummingbird and flew at Keith hitting his foot. He jumped back to see what it was. Now we know how people (John the Baptist) made meals of these things! This creature was 5+ inches long and the size of a man's finger!
