New relationships continued

I have been meeting with local people concerning anything from small business opportunities to physical needs to booksalesman to pastors. It is known that ACTION Zambia is a Christian ministry so many people come to the gate looking for assistance. Some are those who Glenn, the director, knows and has been working with to first timers. ACTION's policy is to work with the local churches in assisting people so they see their needs met through the body of Christ in the local church and not from North American Christians. However, these requests must be addressed so I have spent countless hours meeting with people. I have learned about fish farming, selling charcoal, carpentry opportunities, needs of the people from a pastor's perspective and everyday life. The booksalesman confided his problem with drinking alcohol and I was able to pray with him and give him a bible. I have even been asked to preach at a church which I tried to decline because I am not a preacher yet I stand in the pulpit tomorrow. God is stretching me!
