Items of interest

Here are a few photos of interest. One afternoon three huge toucan-looking birds flew into the tree near our porch. We learned that they are hornbills. The next day we had more feathered visitors. The neighbors guinea hens landed in our yard. These birds are all over Zambian artwork and carvings. We hadn't seen any before. I guess they are pretty good eating! We also learned that these large fruit are papayas. Not bad in a fruit salad. We also have avacados hanging in one of our trees. Haven't tried those yet.

Grandma had papaya for lunch Tues. Yum! Wonder if it came from Zambia? Lots of love.
Keep an eye on these birds. Thanksgiving is coming up.
